Södertobak

The stories of Södertobak are many. And the years on its neck even more. The premises of Södertobak have gone through phases as a gas station, tobacco shop and nowadays starting off with the family Verdugo, a food bar. Södertobak is a modern family-owned, neighborhood coffee and food bar serving tasteful and zestful food, with influences including the Chilean kitchen.

The family-owned feeling that makes it close, small, and community-strong in combination with a modern coffee and food bar want to be reflected in the visual identity as much as it does in the setting. Some of the leading words while making the communicating language was inviting, classic and easygoing.

Decades of history

The sign on the facade of the old tobacco shop saying “Södertobak” are so called “k-marked” (kulturmärkt). Which is a concept of protection to preserve buildings and environments of cultural and historical interest. On that note, the sign will stay up no matter what business going on underneath it.
